CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS
|
|
Stockport Town Hall has celebrations planned for 2008, as we mark 100 years of the Town Hall building. The Town Hall is a key landmark of Stockport and well known locally for its striking front façade of white Portland stone, leading to the building fondly being referred to as the “wedding cake Town Hall” The Town Hall was officially opened by their Royal Highnesses the Prince and Princess of Wales on 7 July 1908.
